The Centennial Committee would like to thank all the volunteers that generously gave their time to make this historic event a success. A thousand thanks will never be enough to acknowledge their hard work. We are humbled by all the support and positive comments and are glad that so many citizens and visitors participated and that a great time was had by all.
Your Centennial Committee consisted of Deborah Phillips, Bobby Tober, Max Yeste, Chuck Murphy, Ruby Nunn, Carmen Tydings, Sue Beridon, Ann Fowler and Jeff Phillips. Special thanks go to Charles Holland, Shelley Pavlicek, Linda Mager and Miranda, who went above and beyond as volunteers and never complained. You have our sincerest gratitude.
We personally want to thank each member of our city council, not only for all their volunteer work during the event, but for their moral and financial support for this event and putting faith in the centennial committee. They were asked to be pulled away to be in some photos and they refused in order to keep working. These are truly your public servants and deserve your full thanks for making the centennial a success.
Let's also not forget our fantastic city staff and department heads. From public works, parks and rec, police, finance staff, fire dept, EMS and our city management; these people came together and worked to make everything run smoothly behind the scenes. Thank you all for your hard work.
Our production company, Event Production Services, was an outstanding group of individuals to work with. Jeff, Mike, Allison, Marcy and the rest of the crew made eveything look so easy. They are true professionals and helped teach us how an event this size is produced. My heart felt thanks to each of them for their guidance and encouragement.
As you can see, it takes a small army to make an event this large a success. Please take the time to thank these people when you see them. There are too many to name here on FB and I don't want to leave anyone out, but rest assured, they have worked hard, and continue to work to make Hutto a special place for all of us.
And It Begins!
Backstage Area - Build Day 2
Look at all the shade! We have a huge covered pavilion (what you see above is only half the size of the pavilion) with a great
view of the stage, along with 3 other tents just for shaded areas.
We also have large bar tents where you can rest
in the shade while in line for cold beers.
